CHALLENGE
Seven internal dashboards had evolved independently over time, resulting in inconsistent user experiences, duplicated development effort, and growing design and technical debt. The organization needed a scalable framework that could unify products while supporting the unique needs of multiple business units.
OUTCOME
Created the foundation for an enterprise design system that established a shared design language, reduced inconsistency across products, and introduced scalable patterns for future dashboard development.
Design System Foundation
Developed the foundational structure of the system using Atomic Design methodology, creating a scalable framework that could support multiple products while maintaining consistency across the organization.

Accessible Visual Language
Expanded the existing brand palette through additional tints and shades, introduced accessible color standards, and defined typography guidelines using free Google Fonts to support consistency and usability.

Reusable Component Architecture
Designed reusable interface components intended to function as plug-and-play building blocks, helping reduce duplication of effort between design and development teams while accelerating future product creation.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
Defined the initial standards for colors, typography, spacing, and reusable components to create a consistent framework for future internal applications.
Designed a component-based system intended to reduce duplicate development effort, improve consistency, and provide a shared language between designers and engineers.
The project reinforced that successful design systems depend as much on cross-functional buy-in and long-term governance as they do on well-designed components.
